This is really good info. Looking forward to learning more from your site.

I also have the Savage Mark II BTVS and did my first serious session last weekend. Very impressive set up. It's sporting a Leupold VXII 6x18 AO on it and warne stainless rings and bases.

I got VERY good results (need to start measuring) from Federal Gold Medal 922A.

I really like your blog and have some of the same "toys". Keep it up.

Hi Travis,

Thank you for your comment.
The 1:9 twist rate on the Model 10 lends itself better to lighter bullets. I shoot 55 grain Hornady Vmax bullets almost exclusively in this rifle, and with excellent results.

Happy Shooting,

Looks great, and I know what you mean about the great optics. I have not had as high of results like you did, but thats probably because I keep using bulk ammo. I am going to start reloading here soon. Would you let me know what recipes seems to shoot the best out of this rifle. I will be trying a 69 grain Nosler and 68 grain Hornady here in the next few weeks, but any information would be great.

Thank you,
Travis Walthall

I came over on a link from ZRXOA guns n bowses. Nice job.

I have an RRA varmint, and am now working on a lightweight carbine, in search of a good mid length upper with a pencil barrel.

Thanks for the reviews. I hope you will keep them coming.
